Dying of Thirst

If you close your eyes

It don’t mean it’s not there

If you close your mind,

Still gotta mind that snare

You don’t see the tide

Turning round out there

You say it’s night

So why’s the sun still there ?

 

You say it’s not happening

But things are going bad to worse

You say it ain’t raining

But the dam’s fit to burst

You go for your flock

But the wolves got there first

You say there’s bread and water

But we’re dying of thirst.

 

You say we can make it

But what are we heading towards

Well your captain’s lost his mind

And there’s no crew onboard

You talk of waves but there’s

To be a tsunami at dawn

You say there’s still time

But we’re drowning my God.

 

You say it’s not happening
